Poem by Bracha! It was 21 av  The stars were shining bright  It was quiet in the house  You were all sleeping for the night And sitting there a warm smile  Came on to my face  As I remembered something special  That day that took place Your online school package  Of books all arrived And I saw the joy and excitement Shining in your eyes  You leafed through the pages  Of your previous heilike books And showed them to each other  Everyone wanted a look  I realized I was excited too  For very very soon  Our house would be filled with Torah Of kids learning in the room Tinokos shel beis rabban  Your Torah floods like light And brightens the streets of Prescott With it's special powerful might  Shoshana you'll learn aleph beis  Hashems treasure of letters Every day you'll practice  And get better and better  Mushka, first grade! Wow!  What a giant step  I'm excited for more kriah  And chumash party prep.  Mendel your sefarim  Are like the one on tatty shafeh I l

The Mikvah waters!

Went on a wonderful hike with the family, and a couple other families.  The water in Wolf Creek Falls was flowing strong. It was a good reminder of the need for this community to have a mikvah. The mikvah waters are the foundation of the Jewish community. If anyone wants to get involved with this special Mitzvah let us know.

All Eyes watching

There is something very special about our town square. Anything is possible there. Almost every time I stop by there, there's another story, animal, wandered, instrument or piece of art. This makes it a special place to do lots of Mitzvos proudly.  As a chabad Rabbi, I always take my tefillin around to perform this special Mitzvah. Dating back to Sinai, this mitzvah gives a special ominous protection to our brethren around the world, but especially in Israel. Whenever done at the square curious eyes watch, and people excitedly ask what the significance is.

Minyan time. 2 times so far this week!

This year as Tisha Bav set in I wasn't expecting a crowd. A. It was Saturday night around 9pm B.We usually have a service at the end of Tisha Bav which would be Sunday night. C. It was a dark and stormy night. To my surprise a group of women came. Infact, I was the only man over Bar mitzvah. It is well know that Jewish women have a special connection and yearning for the temple in Jerusalem going back to biblical times.  It was nice to see it in real time. May we merit the rebuilding of the Beis Hamikdash
